Guess Who's 2?

Our cute little girl is two!  Don't think we haven't noticed the terrible twos' creeping up though.  We've  been getting some feet kicking, screaming tantrums lately.  Add that to some hitting when Joey doesn't give her what she wants and a constant no when told to do, or give up something and we're in for quite a year!  Even with all that we still absolutely adore her.  She is starting to talk a lot and we love to hear her go on about something, even if we don't understand all of it.  She is quite the tease and loves to get Anna and Joey laughing.  She is very free with her loves although the kids get them more than we do.  When Joey is hurt or sad she is the first one to love him and help him to stop crying. We love having Cassie in our family and can't quite remember what it was like without her.

Date Night

After a year and a half hiatus from dating a golden moment of opportunity arose.  Our sweet sister and mother invited us to leave our children with them while we went out.  Of course we jumped on the opportunity and had a grand evening of grocery shopping sans children followed by dinner in the car (the restaurant was too busy and we were running out of time).  When we returned home the kids were playing with these cool organic building pellets.  They got the ends wet and then stuck them together to create anything their imaginations would allow.

Girl Scout Camp

Anna did an awesome job selling Girl Scout cookies this year.  She had a lot of people helping her out so that she could earn enough money to go to camp (thanks grandma and Misty) and she also spent a lot of time knocking on doors.  When it was all over she managed to sell 481 boxes.  With the boxes she got for cookie booths it came to a total of 500 boxes!!!  With that she will get $100 dollars in activity credits towards camp.  She was super excited to get the camp magazine and left us a not so subtle clue about which camp she wanted to go to.  We can't wait for her to have some great experiences, try a new camp and have her first week away from home.

And the winner is...........well, 1st Attendant anyways

It was impossible for us to tell Anna that she couldn't participate in the Little Miss Kearns Pagaent this year when four of her Girl Scout friends were already doing it.  She had so much fun preparing for it; learning a dance, practicing her poses, working on speaking up, etc.  On the morning of the big day she had a small case of the nerves that went away as soon as she started her dance.  The rest of the pageant went smoothly with Anna remembering everything that she had practiced.  Maybe there was a small mistake or two, but nobody noticed.  When it was all said and done she was wearing a crown, the 1st Attendant sash and a smile that just didn't stop.
