Author's Reading

Anna's class wrote "Fun in the Snow" stories and had the opportunity to publish them in a hard bound book.  She was beyond excited to see her story in a real book!  Her teacher held an Author's Reading today at school and she did amazing.  Unfortunately Lisa wasn't able to get there in time to hear Anna read her story and Joey was in class so he missed it too.  With half of our family feeling left out we decided to reenact it tonight.  We followed the reading with ice cream cones and a good time was had by all.

Sous Chef

Our infamous sous chef, Cassie, just loves being right in the middle of things.  Whenever anything is going on in the kitchen she is right there with a chair ready and willing to taste test anything and everything to make sure it all turns out okay.  Our chocolate chip cookies tasted amazing thanks to her selfless work.

2010 Family Movie

After watching last Christmas' video repeatedly throughout the year we came to the conclusion that due to the fact that we are horrible scrapbookers, a video would be the best way for us to chronicle our lives for future generations to enjoy.(Or at least suffer through as Grandma and Grandpa Seipert force them to watch)
Warning: This movie is over 15 minutes long. Do not attempt to watch unless you have sufficient time to spare. Good Luck, we hope you like it as much as we do!

Sick......again?

It's a good thing that we had such a grand time last weekend.  Here we are on the verge of a four day weekend and what do you know?  Sick kids.  No shocker there right?  This has been the story of our life for the last year.  One might ask, why are your kids so sick all the time?  That is a question we would like answered ourselves.  Maybe God knows that we need some relaxation, there could be too much love going on (it's near impossible to keep Cassie away from Joey with all her hugs and kisses).  But,when it comes down to it, they are kids.  Germ could be their middle name.  They will grow out of it eventually and we will miss the weekends spent at home cuddling and watching movies while we nurse them back to health.  So, here's to sick kids and time spent together.

Just What the Doctor Ordered

Man oh man, we barely survived our first week back to reality after Christmas break.  By the time Friday afternoon rolled around we were in serious need of some R&R.  Taking matters into our own hands we prescribed ourselves some fun and did just that.  After an hour of roller skating in the church gym we decided to go out to lunch at Marie Callendars (Bryce got a gift certificate, lucky us).  We haven't been anywhere that fancy since the night Bryce proposed.  They sat us next to the fire place and the kids didn't think it could get any better than that until the waitress informed them that their kid's meals came with a free dessert.  They were in 7th heaven.  A trip to the library, a good long nap and a great movie to end it all (The Sorcer's Apprentice) made it a definite weekend to remember.  Short week of school, here we come!
